Enhancing Educational Quality through Practical Observation
At BNS DAV Teachers Training College, we are committed to providing our B.Ed. students with hands-on experience to develop their teaching skills and professional competence. As part of their curriculum, students are required to participate in observation and Practice of Teaching (POT) sessions at various Jharkhand government schools. During these sessions, students actively engage in real classroom environments, observing teaching methods, classroom management techniques, and student interactions to gain practical insights into the teaching-learning process.
To document and reflect on their experiences, students prepare comprehensive Observation Activity Files and POT Files, which they submit for evaluation. In addition to the written documentation, our college encourages students to present their observations and teaching practices through an engaging PowerPoint presentation (PPT). This presentation serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their learning experiences in a clear and concise manner.
The presentations are showcased on a large LED screen, allowing for an interactive and visually appealing display. Students explain their PPTs in detail, highlighting the activities they performed, the teaching methodologies they observed, and the skills they practiced during their time at the government schools. This not only fosters confidence in public speaking but also enhances their ability to articulate their educational experiences.
Our esteemed faculty members, including the Principal and senior teachers, actively participate in these presentations by posing thought-provoking questions. This practice ensures that students thoroughly understand the practical applications of their learning and encourages critical thinking and self-reflection. Such interactive sessions are instrumental in shaping future educators who are well-prepared to face real-world classroom challenges.
This initiative not only enriches the learning journey of our students but also aligns with our commitment to excellence in teacher education. By integrating observation, practice, and presentation, we empower our B.Ed. trainees to become competent and innovative educators, ready to make a positive impact in the field of education.

Girls Education Survey Initiative by BNS DAV Teachers Training College

The primary objective of these surveys is to evaluate the level of educational awareness among villagers and to promote the importance of girls' education. We engage with families, community leaders, and youth to spread awareness about the long-term social, economic, and cultural benefits of educating girls. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to break barriers of ignorance, prejudice, and traditional biases that often prevent girls from accessing education.
Through regular surveys, motivational sessions, awareness drives, and counseling programs, we aim to create a positive mindset towards female education. Our outreach programs are designed to inspire parents to enroll their daughters in schools, support them throughout their learning journey, and ultimately empower them to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
